All About Avara
Avara is a boutique based in Dallas, Texas. They were founded in 2018 by a mother Emily Wickard, who after spending 20 years in Corporate Finance, decided to take a leap of faith and open her own boutique. Their clothing exudes chic and elegant style, and they are among the few American brands that offer a vibrant and colorful collection.
Why I love Avara
I found Avara late last year and waited for warmer weather to try their collection. Browsing their website instantly made me dream of a vacation. Their pieces are vibrant, playful, and incredibly feminine, featuring prints, ruffles, and dramatic puffed sleeves, in short, all my favorites in one place. The quality is impressive, and the prices are quite reasonable. I also appreciate the versatility of their pieces; you will find dresses and tops that are suitable for both professional settings and your next vacation.
Their sizing could be more inclusive. While some pieces offer sizes from XS to XL, others are limited to S to L. It’s an aspect they could work on to cater to a broader range of body types.
