I’m a sucker for t-shirt and shirt dresses. Actually, I am a sucker for anything that can get me out the door in a flash, while still making me look stylish and put together. Simple pieces like this are very warm-friendly as they are soft, breezy and comfortable. This dress in particular has a feminine swing to it, which works really well for every body and style type (Instance I’m curvy, while Sasru has a frame body type and this dress equally good on both of us), making it a true closet keeper.
I layered this dress in 2 casual ways by adding some feminine vibe to them.
1. Peppy Layers
Each piece in this outfit is “normal”- the plaid boyfriend shirt, tee dress, belt) but when they are put together they really elevate a notch from “just normal”. I Love tiny, subtle details that gives life to an outfit like the little swing does for this dress, which I elevated with a waist belt. This is an ultimate 24-hr outfit- the dress and shirt keeps it simple and warm for the day, while the ankle boots and belt makes it dressier for the evenings.
2. Sporty Layers
Denim jackets are my life savers in Summer. Not only they keep me safe from unwanted sun burns and rashes but also they make me look super chic in summer dresses. This look is great for spring evening outdoors- for BBQ or for a baseball or Cricket match with friends. It’s very sporty yet has that chic vibe to it with those lace ups. Last week, I wore the same look to mall with my black converse and minus the hat. Around 3 ladies randomly stopped me to tell that they like my outfit (no kidding!!).
