A puffer jacket is an absolute must in the peak winters. They are warm, toasty and oh so comfy. This Patagonia and the Eddie Bauer puffer jackets are the best investment ever. I wear the Patagonia jacket when the temperature is below the 30s and when I am walking my pup for a longer time. The jacket is lightweight, not overly puffy and keeps me warm, to the extent that I sweat sometimes. On the other hand, The Eddie Bauer jacket is perfect for lighter winters and is more affordable.

I am slightly obsessed with faux fur jackets. They feel really luxurious without having to break the bank. The bolero jacket is my absolute favorite item to dress up a dress or casual jeans for the holiday season. The pink fur coat in the left picture is from 2 years back, I have included similar coats in the slider below.

6. Colorful Jacket

Colorful doesn’t have to be bold colors, it can be pink or hunter green or navy that is more on a neutral side and easy to pair. Invest in a color or a print you personally like so you won’t be sick of it and can get maximum wear out of it. When it comes to a print, leopard always wins. It compliments a lot of colors and is a safe print to purchase.

Right now I am loving fuschia pink color coats. Pink is the new red for the holiday season this year. A few classic colors that look great in the winter are red (seriously can not go wrong with a red coat) or cobalt blue. They’re just really great pops of colors that work for winter.

7. Parka or Anorak Jacket

Parka and anorak coats are usually loosely fitted and tend to finish at the knee length. This relaxed style is traditionally seen in khaki and army green tones, adding a somewhat masculine touch. The style is perfect for casual, urban looks and goes great with black, skinny jeans and boots. Choose an anorak for warmer days and a parka with hood for colder weather. The parka jacket I am wearing is by Levis, it’s pretty old and I still get good use out of it.
