Fall Trends: Polar Fleece Jackets and Sweatshirts

Apart from PSL (pumpkin spice latte) what’s trending this fall are Polar Fleece jackets and Sweatshirts. The classic sherpa fleece is back in cool prints and details like statement zippers and color-blocking. Fleece jackets are easy enough to throw on, you can style them with jeans or over a dress or pleated skirt. I love when practical and comfy items go on-trend because every brand will try to make them exciting and you get a variety of options to choose from.

Wear the fleece sweatshirt or jacket by itself or pair with your favorite summer dress now and layer it underneath heavy coats in winter. I wore the sweatshirt to a pumpkin patch over the weekend. It was perfect for the slightly chilly weather. I dared to get out of the house with coconut oil on my hair, no makeup on and even dared to post it here. I am not sorry about how I look, I don’t know why some women apologize for not wearing makeup or for not getting ready. We should embrace ourselves no matter what we choose to wear, a bare face or a makeup face.

I wore the dress for a friend’s birthday dinner over the weekend. The jacket was so warm and it’s made of faux fur. I bought it during the Nordstrom anniversary sale. Can you believe the dress I am wearing is from the Old navy? I stopped buying from them because of the material. Their dresses and tops wrinkles out quickly. But when I saw this dress on their website, I was very eager to try it out. I am glad I did, they changed their fabric (maybe just for the fall & winter) it’s thicker and doesn’t wrinkle at all. I also bought this dress, it’s so beautiful with this coat.
