12 Dark Bedroom Ideas for a Cozy and Dramatic Look

What do you think of dark bedrooms? I personally love them. I think dark bedrooms create a cozy and calming ambiance that is perfect for a good night’s rest. Having said that, dark rooms can look gloomy if not styled properly, to avoid that add contrast or bold pops of color in the furnishings or accessories.

The dark shades that go great with bedrooms are charcoal grey, dreamy blue, emerald green, terracotta, and black.

This was my bedroom when I used to live with my best friend. Well, you can call the styling bohemian but my idea was to bring in desi (Indian) vibes. The best way to do it is by adding bright color in the shade of coral, yellow, and blue or by opting for handloom prints like ikkat. 2. Color One Wall Dark

This bedroom has the right balance of dark and airy colors with subtle prints and textures with the rug, chandelier, and woven basket.

3. Emerald Green Accent Wall 

Emerald green works beautifully as a paint color for any room in your home, or even just as an accent wall. It pairs particularly well with black and white, grey, rich caramel-colored leathers, and natural wood tones. If you have an odd shape bedroom, doing an accent wall will take away the attention from the structure to the wall.
