I am not a makeup expert. I still struggle to apply eyeliner evenly to both of my eyes. But my quest for natural-looking makeup products that don’t rip off the freshness of the skin and suit my Indian skin has helped me to create this effortlessly natural-looking makeup look. If you are a newbie to makeup, this look is easy and simple to re-create with products that won’t break the bank. All the products (except the brow powder) are clean, non-toxic, vegan, and super affordable (at least the majority of them are)
Please follow the video tutorial below for ease or read through the step-by-step tutorial I added the product links and shade details below every step.

Makeup Tutorial for Indian Brown Skin Step-1: SPF Tinted Moisturizer
I’ve been using the Sun Integrity tinted SPF moisturizer for over 5 years now. With a light-medium coverage, this tinted moisturizer with SPF 30 is my preferred face moisturizer all through the year. The finish is very natural, dewy, and doesn’t rip off the natural glow of the skin. The ingredient list is clean with 20% zinc oxide topped with many hydrating oils like hyaluronic acid, jojoba oil, etc.
How to Apply– I apply it all over the face and neck with my fingers or an oval brush. Then I use it as a concealer and apply some more over the areas I need extra coverage like on my cheeks over my acne pores and under the eyes to cover the dark circles.
Where to Buy– Nordstrom (my shade “Golden Light”)
Natural Makeup Tutorial for Indian Brown Skin Step-2: Blush
If you are a newbie to makeup and don’t want to spend a lot of money on products but want high quality and clean products, this Honest beauty blush is the bang for the bucks. It’s $16 and decently pigmented. The shade of Rose pink gives the best naturally flushed rosy cheeks on my brown Indian skin. I love cream blush, they give a natural dewy look compared to powder blush.
How to Apply– Apply the blush two fingers away from your nose and two fingers away from the bottom of your eye and apply the slightest bit to the top of the nose on the bridge — think where your sunglasses would hit for a natural flushed look.

Natural Makeup Tutorial for Indian Brown Skin Step-3: Eye Makeup
I am a huge fan of this Lawless eye shadow palette for everyday use. It has all the nude colors you need to create a natural everyday look. Plus, it is non-toxic and clean.
How to Apply– Apply the bottom row second from the right rust color eye shadow all over the lid. This shade enhances the gold undertone of the brown skin while providing a natural look
Here is a simple hack on the eyeliner, if you struggle to apply eyeliner evenly on both of your eyes, this eye shadow trick is for you. All you need is an angled brush and eyeshadow of your choice, I usually go for a brown or a black both shades are available in the Lawless eyeshadow palette. For this look, I am going for a brown eye shadow for a more flattering and seamless look. You can wet the brush before applying the eyeshadow or apply it dry. Pick up the eye shadow with the brush and swipe across your upper and lower eyelids just like you would a liquid liner. If you have small eyes, you need to start applying the eyeliner slightly away from the inner corners (both upper and lower) to create an illusion of bigger eyes. If you start applying your dark eyeliner right from the inner corner, you are basically defining the actual shape of the eye leaving no room to create an illusion of bigger eyes. You can apply a lighter color eyeshadow in the inner corner to complete the look, I did not apply it in this look to keep the look simple for someone who is new to makeup.
Finishing the eye makeup with my favorite Loreal mascara. I love the lengthy and voluminous lashes it gives with just one coat. I only apply it to the upper lashes. I have visible dark circles, applying mascara to the lower lashes highlights it and also gives a dramatic look which I don’t opt for on an everyday basis.

Natural Makeup Tutorial for Indian Brown Skin Step-4: Eyebrows
I have very light eyebrows, so filling them helps to define my brows and brighten my look. Filled brows also help frame your face.
Anastasia brow products are the best in the market but unfortunately, they are not natural. This is the only product, I am still not able to find the best natural replacement. The product is highly pigmented and a little bit of it is just enough to fill the brows and is super long-lasting.
If you have light brows like me, it might get heavy easily, so be careful, take less product and work with it. Powder eyebrow fillers give the most natural finish since you blend well without leaving harsh lines.
How to Apply- First brush your brows upwards. Use the angled brush and create soft, short hair-like strokes in the direction of your hair growth to get the most realistic-looking eyebrows.

Natural Makeup Tutorial for Indian Brown SkinStep-5: Lipstick
Honest beauty lip crayons are my go-to lately for everyday wear. These lip crayons are basically tinted lip balms, are very hydrating, and have a hint of color. They are not long-lasting but since they are clean and glide on smoothly like a lip balm, I don’t mind re-applying them multiple times. These sell out like hotcakes, so get them when they are available and are also super inexpensive. The shade Marsala is my perfect MLBB (my lips but better) shade. It’s basically the same shade as my lips (Mauve rose shades) but adds a just bit more depth and intensity.
How to Apply– Apply the color, starting at the center of the upper lip and moving outward toward one corner. Bring the lipstick back to the center and run it outward toward the other corner. Repeat with the lower lip. To fill in any missing color, dab the lipstick with your pinky, then dot the color onto your lips with your finger.
