I am back with yet another outfit in my western to Indian outfit series. Today I am sharing how to style Velvet Leggings in western and Indian styles. In this series, I take a clothing piece and style a western and desi outfit using it.
How to Style Velvet Legging-Casual to Indo-Western Outfit
Do you have an old Kurti, or have you turned one of your mom’s old sarees into a Kurti top and looking for ways to dress it up? Try this styling tip- Pair the Kurti with velvet leggings and a silk dupatta (turn the saree’s pallu into a dupatta); there, you have a new outfit perfect for festivals and also for wedding events.
I accessorized the look with a Jadau Krishna Pendant Hasli or Kante; this necklace is perfect for dressing up Kurti tops or Anarkali dresses, or simple sarees. It’s not over the top yet and will give you a traditional and glammed-up look.

For the western look, I kept it casual with an oversized sweater and booties. The velvet legging still makes this look appropriate for fall events like thanksgiving brunch or pumpkin patch, etc.
The Dolce Vita booties are uber cute and great to pair with leggings and are currently on sale!
