If there’s one day in your life that you want clear, smooth, glowing skin, it’s your wedding day. And if there is one time in your life when you are going through a roller coaster of emotions it’s during the wedding preparation leading up to your big day. Skin problems like acne, rosacea, breakouts and dark under-eye circles have a tendency to creep in during this stressful, and sleep-deprived time. That’s why it is crucial to have a skincare routine that you trust and see amazing results.
If you don’t have one, start thinking about it at least 3-4 months before the big day. When it comes to Indian weddings, sometimes you hardly get any time to prep. My wedding date was confirmed on December 2018 that it will be in February 2019 but the talks about my wedding have been going on for over 6 months so in a way I knew that my big day would be anytime soon. Start looking for a bridal skin care products routine as soon as your parents start looking for a groom for you, or when you introduce your boyfriend to your family, or when you get engaged. This will give you enough time to try new products or experiment with new treatments and get over any adverse effects before you take your wedding photos.
I didn’t change much in my bridal skincare routine except for an eye cream. I trusted my holy grail skincare routine to do its magic. I have been using these products for over a year, some more than that. They have changed my skin for good. Right now I am experimenting with new products but these are the products I will come back to if something fails.
All Natural Bridal Skin Care Products to Prepare for your Big Day
I have sensitive skin and occasionally get acne. My t-zone is oily and cheeks are dry because of all the acne creams I have used in my teen years. I also have large pores on my cheeks and my skin tends to get dull if I don’t get enough sleep or if I am stressed. So, the following bridal skin care products were chosen whilst keeping my skin type and needs in mind.
* All these bridal skin care products are natural, free from harmful chemicals, artificial fragrance and cruelty-free

Step 1- DIY Oil Cleanser / Makeup Remover
When I tell people I use coconut oil on my face. The immediate question I get asked us “doesn’t it make your skin oily?” No, it doesn’t because coconut oil is a very light moisturizer that sinks in quickly without leaving your skin greasy. This is the main reason why many people love using it as a moisturizer but I wouldn’t recommend it using solely as a moisturizer as it won’t keep your skin moisturized for long. However, coconut oil is an amazing cleansing oil that can also remove makeup because of its ant-bacterial and anti-yeast properties. Coconut oil can cause clogged pores for some skin types which is why using organic, cold-pressed coconut oil is recommended.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of Coconut Oil
- 1 capsule of Vitamin E
- 5-6 drops of Tea tree oil (optional; if you have skin prone to acne)
- 1 small lidded jar
Mix Ingredients
It is not recommended to heat cold-pressed oils instead use either a whisk or spoon or handheld electric mixer, whip the coconut oil until it becomes fluffy. Add vitamin E and tea tree oil to the coconut oil and mix well.
Apply to Face
Use the mixture as a cleansing oil- no washcloths or cotton pads are needed. Simply liquefy the coconut oil in your hands when it’s in its natural solid-state, and gently rub onto dry skin, paying special attention to heavy eye makeup. Once your makeup has been sufficiently melted away, rinse face with warm water and pat dry.

Step 2: Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser
I am on my 3rd bottle right now, which says how much I love this cleanser. It instantly brightens my skin, you can notice the difference in the video. The cleanser has micro granules that surprisingly very gentle on the skin. It does the great job removing dirt and leftover makeup from the skin. This is undoubtedly a brilliant cleanser for oily/problematic skins. It’s soap-free cleanser that contains clay, fruit enzymes and sugar. It smells very good. The only con is it’s pricey.
How to Use this Bridal Skin Care Product:
After removing makeup, take 1/2 pump of cleanser (a little goes long way) and apply it to your dry skin and massage it in. Then add little water and massage it into the skin. Rinse off with cold water and pat dry. I use twice a day, once in the morning and once at night before going to bed. I use little bit it on damp skin at night and dry skin in the morning.

Step-3: Andalou Naturals Pure Pore Toner
The Andalou Naturals toner is very gentle on skin. It doesn’t sting or irritates the skin like most alcohol toners. It really seemed to help with tightening my large pores.
How to Use this Bridal Skin Care Product:
Pour little amount into your palms, rub your hands together and just pat it on your face focusing more on the large pores. Wait until it dries/absorbs before applying moisturizer or serum.

Step- 4: One Love Organics Vitamin C Facial Serum or DIY Facial oil
I alternate between One Love Organics Vitamin C serum and my own DIY brightening facial oil. I will be sharing the facial oil recipe soon. For now, let’s talk about the Vitamin C serum. I’ve lost count on the number of bottles I have gone through of this oil. It’s lightweight, absorbs into my skin easily but extremely moisturizing and helps to fight dull skin and dark spots.

Step -5: One love Organics Vitamin E Eye Balm
This is the newest addition to my skincare routine. It’s great for colder months, thicker and extremely hydrating. Vitamin E helps reduce the effect of free radicals that cause signs of aging like wrinkles. It doesn’t help me in reducing puffiness as it promises but it definitely brightens my eyes.
How to Use this Bridal Skin Care Product:
A little goes a long way! Using ring finger, press gently under the eye and around the eye area.

Step-6: Raw Sugar Lip Balm
I received this lip balm as a part of a collaboration last November ever since it’s been my favorite lip balm. I suffer from extremely dry and chapped lips in colder months. The lip balm glides on smoothly and keeps my lips hydrated for a longer time. I find it more moisturizing than my all time favorite Burt’s bee lip balm. I also use their Lip scrub once a week.

Glid on and go on
