This DIY homemade moisturizer is an oil-based moisturizer but promise! not a greasy one. It is made with some of the best oils that are total winners when it comes to moisturizing and problem skin.
If you are scared of using oil on your face, I can totally understand. I was hesitant too but I started slow using it as a body moisturizer first. Then slowly started using on my face too at times when I don’t need sunscreen and to my surprise, it did not break me at all (I have oily and acne prone skin if you are wondering!). Side note- I was totally sold by the smell of macadamia oil, I literally felt like a cookie. I may have exaggerated a little!. but honestly, both Jojoba and macadamia oil has a soft smell and are lightweight on the skin. They work great with oily and problem-prone skin. Give it a try. I’m sure you’ll love it!
What you need:
1 part of Organic Macadamia nut Oil
1 part of Organic Jojoba Oil
1 Non-GMO Vitamin E Capsules(Optional)

Direction:
Fill half of Dark glass Amber bottle with Macadamia oil and another half with Jojoba Oil.
Add 1-2 capsules of Vitamin E to the mixture depending on the size of the container. voila!
Storage: Light can damage and oxidize Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E, So do not use a normal glass jar or any container through which light can pass easily. Use Dark glass bottle for storage.
Benefits of Ingredients:
This mixture is not only a great moisturizer but can also be used as an eye makeup remover. It works great with stubborn mascara too. It’s a Win-Win!
Can be used as an overall Moisturizer for face and body and as a makeup remover as well
JoJoba Oil (Pronounced as ho-ho-ba)
Jojoba oil is actually a liquid wax that mimics the human sebum (Oil like substance produced by our bodies on a daily basis) making it non-greasy and perfect as a daily moisturizer.
It helps to seal in moisture, leaving skin soft and supper.
It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave your skin oily and sheen. As an anti-inflammatory, it helps in reducing rashes, redness, dryness and also helps n fighting acne.
Jojoba oil is also an excellent moisturizer for dry scalp and also stimulates hair growth by opening up the blocked follicles
Macadamia Oil
You must have heard all the raves about this nut oil has created as popular hair oil. Sure, you must have encountered some at Ulta /Target.
This works equal magic on the skin too. This delicious, light oil absorbs quickly without leaving any oily or greasy residue.
It is loaded with Omega -3 and Omega -6 fatty acids making it perfect for dry, damaged and matured skin. It also contains antioxidants, calcium and Vitamin B as well.
Macadamia oil contains the highest percent of Palmitoleic fatty acid (16-23%) making it a perfect anti-aging oil. As skin ages, palmitoleic acid gets depleted from the skin and macadamia oil helps in delaying this process.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E is a strong antioxidant that prevents premature aging.
It prevents the formation of wrinkles, lightens the age spots and scars by blocking the free radicals.
Also protects the skin from harmful sun ray’s.
Prevents excess melanin formation which helps lighten your skin and can be best used to reduce under eye dark circles.
Note: Vitamin E oil has a greasy texture, do not use it more than 1 or 2 capsules.
