Last week I answered all Blogging questions on how to start a blog, my tips on growing Instagram. Today I am sharing rest of the Fashion related Q&A’s and few personal ones. Thank you so much for the amazing response to my last post.
Fashion Q&A
Question #1– What do you think is the current trending color?
Answer- lilac
Question #2– What is your favorite clothing brand?
Answer- I like to shop everywhere but Madewell, Boden, and Ralph Lauren Polo never disappoint me with their timeless styles, fabric, and fitting. I have a weakness for good fabric and my rate of going back to a store depends on the quality of their clothing.
Lately, I have rediscovered my love for Ann Taylor and Mango.
Question #3– What is your dream bag?
Answer- Hermes Kelly! I have a feeling that will forever remain a dream 😀
Also, I have a 10-year long crush on Lady Dior 🙂
Question #4– How do you define your style
Answer- It’s hard to put my personal style into one category because it keeps changing. I am a moody person and it reflects the way I dress.
I like feminine, vintage, bohemian, ethnic, and masculine pieces equally.
But any day you will find me dressed modestly, in layers, and colors.
Question #5– I see you mentioned Modest Fashion in your Instagram bio. What does it Mean?
Answer- Glad you asked. Modest Fashion means covering up parts of your body you are not comfortable showing due to culture or personal preference. The level of modesty differs across different religions and from person to person.
I’m personally not comfortable wearing really short clothes, revealing necklines, and clothes that expose too much of the naval because that’s how I was raised culturally and that’s how I want to see myself.
Since the day I started my blog, my focus was to showcase my style within the boundaries I set on myself. I wanted to tell women that they can be stylish, contemporary, and experimental without revealing too much or any skin. Hopefully, I am inspiring you to dress modestly.
Before I discovered about the term “Modest Fashion”, It was really awkward for me to say it loud -“I don’t like to wear revealing clothes” because I didn’t want to sound like I am disapproving other people choices, which I’m not. Everyone has their own level of modesty and I respect that. I let my outfits do the talking instead. which, I believe it did because few people told me that they started following me for the very reason.
Question #6– Do you plan to make Fashion your career and run a Fashion business in the future?
Answer- Yes yes yes!
Question #7– When and how do you know you are interested in Fashion?
Answer- I have always loved clothes ever since I was little. It’s was (and is) my way of making a first impression!
I use to steal blouse pieces (the piece of fabric used for saree blouses) from my mom’s closet and stitch clothes for my doll.
I use to tailor all my clothes until I was in college since it was economical back then. My mom used to let me pick the fabric and design my own dresses (all of them had pockets and ruffles) and later churidars as I grew up (Indian ethnic wear- tunic top and pants). I used to pay a lot of attention to details and try to design each outfit differently.
It was my creative outlet, my hobby back then, imagining different styles, explaining my ideas to my tailor, and wearing them used to make me incredibly happy. That passion continued for me since I started helping my friends in picking up and customizing their outfits. I used to get complimented a lot on the way I mix pieces.
Since I was not a huge social media savvy person, it took me a while to discover the opportunity of becoming a fashion blogger. As soon as I did, I started this blog.
Question #8– Which Actress style do you like the most in Bollywood and Tollywood?
Answer- In Bollywood I love Kangana Ranaut’s elegant fashion choices. I find her style very original – vintagesque with conventional silhouettes. I want every bag she owns. I also love Sonam Kapoor’s experimental style. She has a great eye for classy and timeless style. Lately, I am loving Priyanka Chopra’s casual chic outfits, the ones that are styled by Mimi Cuttrell.
In Tollywood, I love Anushka Shetty’s style. She is someone who has her signature style and always stayed true to it. I always look up to her when it comes to Indian wear along with actress Sneha.
Question #9– Who is your inspiration
Answer- I don’t have any particular person. I find inspiration everywhere from my culture, movies, architectures, etc.
Question #10– How to pick a hairstyle for outfits? It’s my biggest challenge always
Answer- I pick my hairstyles depending on the outfit I am going for. If it’s a professional or dressed-up look, I opt for sleek hairstyles like straight hair parted in the middle, or hair pulled into a lower or higher ponytail. Neatly combed bun also looks great with work wear and party wear.
For casual and everyday hairstyle- I love high ponytail, Hi-bun, and loose curls. Also if I am wearing high necks or peter pan collars or want to highlight my statement earrings. I like to go for the braided bun.
For flirty, bohemian and feminine looks- I prefer wavy curls which can be achieved using a curling wand or a hair straighter, half updo hairstyles like here and here look very feminine, wearing velvet or beaded hair bands will instantly give you a dressed up and youthful look and braided hairstyles like Fish braid, French side braid, Dutch braid, etc are classic and bohemian.
For quirky and experimental hairstyles-I like a half bun, crown braid, wearing a bandanna as a headband, pigtails like here and here for grownups.
Question #11– What is your Fashion Statement and your statement piece?
Answer- My fashion statement is “colorfully comfy”. I love playing with different colors and mix and matching my wardrobe. My statement piece is a well-fitted jacket or coat.
Personal Q&A
Question #1- How do you describe your personality and what’s your best personality trait?
Answer- Dreamy, intuitive and sensitive (a true Piscean indeed!)
Extrovert but not an open book. My socializing ability has an expiration. I need my alone time after a while. I don’t share much until I have a true connection with the person and I suck at small talk.
I am always excited and jumping about something or the other and with that, I drop things or do something stupid. Yes! you can call me clumsy and restless.
If I like something I give more than my 100% to it. I just get immersed into it losing track of time and place. And I like to do it with utmost perfection.
I’m very close to my family, they’re my number 1 priority in my life and I value friendship a lot, my best friends are my extended family. I can do anything for them in a heartbeat.
My best personality trait is I am a happy person, I don’t carry the dull mood longer unless I’m physically exhausted.

For today’s Spring outfit. I wore a Kalamkari print dupatta with the white maxi dress. I love how simple and dressed up this outfit looks. At times you just need one item to make your outfit standout. The colorful dupatta did that in this outfit. My Indian ethnic wear is not complete without hints of gold. I wore my favorite chandbali earrings and finished with gold gladiator sandals, a stylish and versatile alternative to regular metallic accent sandals.
