I am sharing How to Style Shirtdress- Western to Indo-Western Outfits in today’s post.
I am back with yet another Western to Indo-western Outfit. It’s been a while since I created one of these. It’s challenging to find Western pieces that are versatile enough to create Indian Ethnic outfits. When I do, I get so excited to show you guys.
Today’s post showcases one clothing item I am obsessed with- The silk Shirtdress. I love the fabric; it’s soft, flows beautifully, and will look flattering on any body type. You will rarely find the tan color in traditional Indian wear. Plus, it’s on sale for $40. All this makes the dress more unique, and I really you like the looks I created. Let’s get into the post.
How to Style Shirtdress- Western to Indo-Western Outfits
For the Ethnic look, I paired the dress with a deep red patola dupatta; the warm tones complemented each other well, and the Patola print added interest and depth to the outfit. The beige Palazzo pants balanced out the warm colors. The outfit turned out how I imagined it when I first saw the dress on the Banana Republic Factory website.
Do you remember the Palazzo pants? I have created so many outfits with it already (see here, here, and here)

Coming to the accessories. I paired the outfit with a handmade Batik Pendant necklace that matched perfectly with the dupatta and kept the outfit cohesive. When pairing more than two colors in an outfit, I keep the shoes either neutral or clear or match them with the pants.

When it comes to style solutions, monochrome outfits check every box — low-effort, fashion-forward, playful, and (preferably) comfortable. I love pairing satin or silk shirt dresses with boots; they make up a perfect ensemble. A thin belt around your waist adds some detail and accentuates your waist.
