You guys know I never miss a chance to wear jackets. In fact, they are my outfit completers. I just love layering and season transition is my favorite time to mix clothes from different seasons together.
Though it looks like we are going to skip Spring and jump straight into Summer, there are still plenty of chilly and rainy days in between every week when you need to wear lightweight jackets or coats.
Today I am rounding up my must-have Spring & Summer Lightweight Jackets that are both practical and stylish. I also shared outfits on how I styled them in everyday life.
5 Must-Have Spring & Summer Lightweight Jackets
1. Trench Coat
Trench coats are uber chic and timeless. Both short and long version looks great with many outfits. I have been on a hunt for a light camel color and well-structured trench for some time and my search ended with this Brooks Brothers trench coat. It’s worth every penny. The light color is very versatile (goes well with pretty much any outfit) and it comes with an additional removable layer inside for extra warmth for colder days.
Trench coats look very good with jeans, work pants, midi dresses, and a-line and pleated skirts. Shorter trench coats look younger and more sporty while longer trenches have a more classic look.

Utility jackets are the easiest layering piece as they tend to go with literally anything. You can style them in a multitude of different ways, by adding another layer to a basic ensemble (refer above outfit) or by wearing it over a classic striped tee (look#1 below) for a casual look or giving a feminine dress an unexpected forward twist (look#2 below).
The one I am wearing is by Levis. I love the cool military patches on the sleeves.
