Today, for Navratri 2022 Day 7, I am wearing one of my wedding sarees- an orange checks saree.
Navratri 2022 Day 7 color is Orange. The color represents Radiance and energy. Goddess Durga’s Seventh avatar, Maa Kalaratri, is worshipped on the seventh day of Navratri. She is known to be the most ferocious form of Maa Durga. Day 7 is also the first day of Saraswati Puja during Navratri and is known as Saraswati Avahan.
Little background
Navratri is one of the few festivals that is celebrated all across India with equal devotion. This year, Navratri is celebrated from September 26 to October 5. The ten-day festival worships Goddess Shakti or Goddess Durga. Navratri, literally translating to nine nights, worships the nine avatars of Goddess Durga each day of the festival. The nine avatars are – Maa Shailputri, Maa Brahmcharini, Maa Chandraghanta, Maa Kushmanda, Maa Skandmata, Maa Katyayani, Maa Kaalratri, Maa Mahagauri, and Maa Siddhidatri. Each day is ascribed to a specific color and is associated with one form of Goddess Durga. Those who celebrate Navratri dress up in the specific color of the day and prepare foods in the same color and offer it to the goddess as the prasad. Here is the list of Navratri colors if you are looking to celebrate.

Navratri 2022 Day 7 Outfit- Orange Checks Saree
I am re-wearing one of my wedding sarees. I wore it for one of the bridal showers. This is the only saree I own that doesn’t come with a zari border, but the beautiful silver jari checks all over the saree, and the deep orange color makes up for it; it stands out well. I have styled it here with an Orange blouse and a green Victorian bead necklace. Today, I went with a contrasting yellow blouse and kept the jewelry neutral with a pearl Navratna Necklace. This necklace is part of the giveaway we are doing.
