Let’s face it, Postpartum time is not when you feel the greatest about your body, no matter how healthy of a body image you have. Postpartum has massively changed how I feel about myself. Last week I was endlessly googling about how long it takes to feel like yourself after having a baby? Every article I read talked about embracing the new change because there is NO going back to yourself after having a baby. Our bodies won’t feel the same even though we lose all the pregnancy weight. After struggling for 2 months, and indulging myself in self-pity and self-loath, I have decided not to let this dim my style game.
I am taking this opportunity of not able to fit into my wardrobe as a chance to purge my wardrobe, rediscover my personal style, and only invest in pieces that I will wear in MANY ways. One such piece that I recently invested in is this loft swing dress. The dress is perfect for postpartum as it doesn’t cling to the body, it’s lightweight, breathable, no layering required, and can be easily taken from work to the beach.
Sizing and fit– The dress fits loose, I’ve been usually sizing up in everything I am buying lately but with this one, I went with my regular size S. I am wearing shapewear underneath the dress which helped in hiding my postpartum belly.
