Why did you start this space?

Dreaming loud is the outlet of my dreams/ my other passions in life. I started this space as a medium to document by journey towards the lifestyle I dream of that is both green and glamorous.

Is blogging your full-time Job?

No. It feels like it though! I am a full-time software developer and I work every minute I don’t spend on my current job.

Who takes your pictures?

All pictures in the blog and other social medias like Instagram and Facebook are either taken by my best friend Lakki or by myself using a tripod; unless stated otherwise.

What Camera and Lens do you use?

I use Canon Mark III 5D and 50mm prime lens for all my pictures.

Are all products you mention are 100% natural?

I strive to pick all organic products but not all the time, the products mentioned are 100% organic but definitely a certified natural alternative over synthetic products with no parabens, fillers and other harmful ingredients like the ones mentioned in my ingredients to avoid list. All my homemade recipes are 100% natural

What does c/o mean in your posts?

c/o means “courtesy of”, this products are sent by companies as a gift to review or style them in outfits.

What are lazy Recipes ?

As the name speaks for itself, these are quick to make, vegetarian or vegan, healthy and require less utensils (all I care about..). These recipes are either exclusive to DL or done my altering the original recipes to make them hassle free and lazy friendly.

Navratri 2022 Day 2 color is red and this red v It symbolizes passion and love. Goddess Durga’s second avatar, Maa Brahmacharini, is worshipped on the second day of Navratri. Brahmacharini means “unmarried.”. In this form, the Goddess Parvati was a great Sati, and her unmarried form is worshipped as Goddess Brahmacharini.

Little background

Navratri is one of the few festivals that is celebrated all across India with equal devotion. Navratri 2022 begins on September 26, 2022, and will culminate with Vijayadashami on October 5. The festival is dedicated to worshipping Goddess Durga and all her nine incarnations. Many people observe fast or eat sattvik food during the nine days of the festival. Each day is ascribed to a specific color and is associated with one form of Goddess Durga. Those who celebrate Navratri dress up in the specific color of the day and prepare foods in the same color and offer it to the goddess as the prasad. Coming to the outfit, I am wearing a Red Vaira Oosi Kanchi Silk Saree, the timeless beauty used by generations for special occasions like engagements, weddings, and baby showers, and as an heirloom saree that has been passed down from mothers to daughters. It is one of the ancient Kanjeevaram sarees.

Vaira Ossi translates to ‘diamond needle,’ refers to the fine, needle-thin lines that run parallel to the border of a Kanjeevaram saree, interspersed with the color of the sari’s body. The Vaira Oosi stripes are so fine they are often visible only as a lustrous shimmer on the sumptuous silks, adding a sparkle that’s perfect for the festive season. source- Kanakavali

I wanted a Vaira Oosi in the classic maroon shade, the color that is very old school, but it was sold out, so went with red, and I don’t regret it one bit. LOVE the color, it’s not flashy, the most beautiful red you can ever find. I bought the saree from Krsaangi (remember the Lakshadeepam saree I bought from them?). The saree came with a red blouse, but I wanted a bit of contrast paired with a white blouse from one of my wedding sarees.

My mom always wanted me to pierce my nose, but I never saw it as my style. She made me get this nose ring during my wedding shopping and wanted me to wear it for one of the events, but I shied away. The first time I wore it was for an outfit I shared in the Diwali lookbook; check it out here. I wanted to try something different and fell in love with how it transformed the whole look. When I told my mom about the Navratri series, she asked me to wear it for one of the looks, so I am dedicating this look to her, love you Amma <3

I paired the outfit with Nakshi temple jewelry, this is my first 925 silver jewelry. It looks exactly like a gold necklace; the carving and the detailing are beautiful. I got it from NR Silver Jewelry. Jhumkas are brass based from the same brand.
