A coat is not only practical, but that ideal silhouette also has the ability to enhance even the most basic ensemble. I personally love sharp outwear that stands out and keeps me warm and toasty. Today I am sharing my top Fall/Winter jackets and coats that are not only functional but are stylish, and timeless.

I can say this for every single jacket/coat shared in this post that you will wear them again and again and year after year until they stop fitting you cause they’re all well made and will never go out of style. Below you will also see a ton of outfit ideas styling the exact jackets/ coats (except the camel coat) to help you with your shopping decisions or if you already own the same/similar jacket, this might help you with ideas on how to style them.

If you end up getting anything, let me know your thoughts. You can share them in the comments or DM on Instagram

1. Camel Coats

No closet is complete without a classic camel coat. It works for everything: commuting, weekend brunch, or just running errands. Plus, the color is easy to match with almost anything in your closet. The coats shared above are all classic and look super chic with about anything.

left to right- Karen Millen camel coat, the coat looks very luxurious and very well made but I feel like it doesn’t look very flattering on a curvy body, the pockets stand up and add a bit of curve to the coat but It will look incredible on a triangle or square body shape. That’s why I added a different one to the list above. If you are looking for a lighter shade camel coat, look no further get this one. It’s the same jacket as the one in picture #2 but a lighter shade.

The Teddy coat I am wearing is the same as the one I linked above, I absolutely love it and it’s been one of my favorite coats for 3 years now. It’s cozy and doesn’t look very bulky. The best part, it’s $69

The plaid coat is one of the timeless coats you will own and is very American.

2. Colored Coats

You can’t go wrong with a classic black or camel coat (they’re timeless), but it’s those eye-catching shades that will truly amp up a winter look this season and brighten up any dreary day. I own 2 of the coats I mentioned in the list and badly want to get the third one which I don’t need since I already own a red coat.

The Plaid coat is truly a statement coat that is also cozy and practical. The colors on this are very beautiful and very rare.

The burgundy coat is a dream, it’s sharp, looks luxurious, and very warm. A beautiful color that is not also timeless but will make you stand out in the crowd.

3. Heavy Winter Jackets

Wearing layers and light jackets may get you through the fall, but once the temperatures start to drop and severe winter weather begins, you don’t want to be without a heavy-duty piece of outerwear. A down coat is your best bet as it’s a fantastic insulator as the fluffiness of down creates thousands of tiny air pockets which trap warm air and retain heat, thus helping to keep you very warm and dry in cold winter weather. Woolen coats are also great to keep you warm and toasty while looking polished to perfection.

The J.crew parka is the warmest woolen coat I own. The coat looks incredible with both casual and dressy outfits. It runs true to size across the shoulders, the A-line body shape gives you a ton of room for winter layers.

The Patagonia down jacket is a game-changer for winters. I use to take Bagheera out for walks every night when we lived in an apartment, this jacket kept me warm on those extremely cold nights. it’s completely insulated. On days, when I wore a thick sweater inside, I would sweat. The fit is also great, it doesn’t look bulky, has a very streamlined and sleek look.

4. Transitional Jackets

The transitional jackets are perfect for Fall and end of fall and also great for layering in chilly weather, but they’re also effortlessly stylish.

The Joules Quilted Vest is lightweight, keeps your core warm, and is practical to layer under bigger coats. You can pair a quilted vest with absolutely anything you want, starting from hoodies, flannel shirtsdenim jackets, and sweaters.

The Blanknyc Suede Jacket is a top-quality suede jacket for an affordable price tag. It looks incredibly stylish with a flattering fit. Definitely size up on this as it runs small.

The Faux leather jacket is extremely well made, looks like a high-end jacket at a reasonable price point. A leather jacket is an iconic and timeless item of clothing that instantly elevates any look with a cool-girl edge, no matter the occasion.
