It’s almost valentine weekend if you haven’t already realized. Honestly, I didn’t until my friend asked me for gift ideas in the morning. V day always takes me back to my school and college days, I reminisce hanging out with my friends, eating heart-shaped candies, and buying gifts for ourselves. It was always celebrating love with friends and myself, and guess what, it’s still the same for me. I never felt the pressure of celebrating it with the significant other, thanks to my amazing friends and my mum. The things she tells me has a huge influence in my life. For every Occasion/festival she calls me to wish (without Fail; even on Independence day) and never hung up without saying this- “Go buy something for yourself, you have been working so hard”. Normally, my mum would tell me to save money, help others and be generous but on special occasions, she always reminds me to love, pamper and appreciate myself. So, If you don’t have that significant other in your life yet, don’t be disheartened, you will have them one day until then enjoy it with your loved ones (m sure you will have many), dress up and don’t forget to gift yourself.
Coming to the post- Today, I have some cool and out of box outfits ideas for Vday, in case if you haven’t decided on what to wear for your hot date night, or for hanging out with your girlfriends or for just walking in the city. Most of this outfits are from Nordstrom; so you still have time to order them online and pick it up from store.
1. Pick up on trends
Are you not bored of wearing the same red and pink outfits every year; step out of the routine and try on current trends. Pastels are huge on trend for Spring. So, pick up some cool tone (like blush, light blue, lavender, mint, etc) outfits that are perfect for both lunch and candle light dinners. I got this maxi slit dress from Nordstrom for $27 (Isn’t it awesome) and surprisingly it is warm and very comfortable. The dress is sleeveless so I added a blush boyfriend blazer continuing the cool mood of the outfit. This blazer is a staple and versatile piece. Moreover, The caged/lace up heels are also on huge trend right now.

2. Casual with a twist
If you are planning on a low-key day, just hanging you with your girls or going for a movie. This is a perfect laid back outfit with an element of festive to it. Sequin and plaid combo is just like an icing on the cake.

3. Date night perfect
If you are going on a hot date (lucky you!) then this outfit is perfect for you esp at this time of the year. The maxi dress will keep your legs warm and the fur stole adds the luxe factor while keeping your neck and hands warm. I am especially not one of those persons who would pretend about not being cold. I just can’t enjoy the moment when I am freezing inside. You can look sexy with 5 pieces of layering, trust me it’s all how to pull it, your attitude but not what you wear (showing skin is overrated)

4. Carry your heart
What fun is it on valentine day when you don’t wear or carry a heart with you :). I would definitely wear this for a date, it’s a cute outfit to start with plus completely head turning. You can definitely look cute in a jeans.

5. More Crazy more fun
What is more crazy than a pop of color, right? I love playing with colors, I feel it’s my thing. This outfit is a perfect example of my style- fun-loving, crazy, adventurous and cute. If you are planning to hang out with your girl friends or play dress up with them (which you should) then this outfit is definitely make you stand out.
