Toddler-Friendly One pot Broccoli Cheddar Pasta
The one-pot Broccoli cheddar pasta is a fail-safe toddler recipe that only takes 15 mins to make, healthy and delicious.

- 1/2 cup small elbow macaroni pasta (for babies 6-9 months use bigger size pasta)
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 garlic pods, minced
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 cup low sodium vegetable broth or any broth of your choice
- 1/2 cup milk of your choice, I use whole milk
- 1 cup broccoli florets, chopped
- 4 slices Cheddar cheese. I use Cabot brand white or yellow cheddar cheese
In a saucepan or dutch oven, melt butter in medium flame, add garlic and stir until they are golden brown. Stir in oregano, vegetable broth, and milk. Bring it to boil
Add pasta, reduce heat, cover the pot and refer to package directions for the cooking time, occasionally stir to avoid pasta sticking to the pot. Once the pasta is semi-cooked, stir in broccoli florets.
Add the cheese before you turn off the heat. Serve hot with a choice of protein on the side.
Storage Instructions
Refrigerator- Store it for 2 days in an air-tight container
Freezer- Avoid adding cheese at the end, transfer it into a freezer-safe airtight container once it's cool, and store it for 3 months.
Alternatives
You can also add grated carrot along with broccoli and make it only with carrot, it tastes equally good (carrot adds a bit of sweetness, it's more yummy)!
